The March 2009 FaithCare team had a successful trip to Kateri, Kaduna State, Nigeria, seeing a total of 4,450 patients with all care being offered free of any charges. Nine FaithCare-USA volunteers joined approximately 35 FaithCare-Nigeria volunteers to accomplish the project. Many life threatening medical conditions were treated successfully. These included malnutrition, severe anemia, malaria, and meningitis to name a few. In addition, many life saving and life altering surgeries were performed.
Outcomes: · 4,450 - general consultations· 397 - surgeries performed· 463 - laboratory testing· 65 - ultrasounds performed· 636 - eye glasses distributed
