The need is great in the Navajo Nation Community of Crownpoint, New Mexico. The Navajo Nation is comprised of faith-filled people who long to improve their living conditions but are not sure how to go about it. Situated close enough to Gallup, NM to mention but far enough away to be forgotten, the nation continues to battle extreme poverty. Houses are deteriorating and lack many of the amenities that Americans take for granted. With no running water, many elderly residents are forced to use out houses, which at their age, is a difficult task. Projects are endless and local workers are few. While, in New Mexico, you will make much-needed repairs to existing homes, such as roofing, siding, drywall, stucco, flooring, ramps and other projects. Through this important physical labor, you will show the Navajo Nation how much we—and more importantly, God—loves and cares for them. Spend your last day in Crownpoint participating in community outreach and experiencing the terrain by swimming and hiking at Bluewater State Park. Be the hands and feet of God by humbly serving the Navajo Nation and responding to the great need.
