Milwaukee, WI City Serve Mission Trip SUMMER Break
Description:
The city of Milwaukee is beautiful in its rich culture and diversity. Yet, many years after the battle against segregation, Milwaukee still shows signs of separation and racial oppression. This city has the highest teen pregnancy rates and the highest unemployment rates for African American males. It is the fourth poorest city in the country and there is an undeniable need for the love of Christ.
Through a partnership with a Christian non-profit that supports over 150 inner city ministries and programs, Next Step students have joined in the movement to create real change in the city.
Students will have the opportunity to engage in various projects ranging from home repairs and building to serving at community centers with at-risk children and reaching out to inner-city youth. Even though this is an inner-city mission trip, expect to get your hands dirty as you roof or side a house, or build a wheel-chair accessible ramp for a resident. It’s a great mission trip if you are looking for good work projects and relational ministry.
On your free day, spend time with the community and relax for a while on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan.

This trip is geared towards middle school, high school and college students, yet we have some older adult groups going as well. We are flexible and can work with you to design the perfect trip for your group. Individuals and families are also welcome.

$349. This includes materials, lodging, food and programming. Travel to Milwaukee, and travel once you are on the ground, are not included.
A $50 deposit per student is due no more than thirty days after registration. For summer break trips, 50% of your group’s balance is due by March 15th, 2013, with the remaining balance due by May 15th, 2013.
