Milwaukee, WI City Serve Mission Trip SUMMER Break
Description:
The city of Milwaukee yearns for mercy and reprieve from extreme poverty and segregation. Many people argue that segregation died along with Martin Luther King, but Milwaukee is living proof that, unfortunately, it did not. While in Milwaukee we seek to serve the underprivileged communities that are not only fighting against their socioeconomic status, but also against the oppression brought on by their race.
Various projects will allow you to look into the eyes of the oppressed and offer hope. Through a partnership with a Christian non-profit that supports over 150 inner city ministries and programs, Next Step students have begun to lift the heavy burden of despair off of the city. Be a part of the change by engaging in various projects ranging from repairs and building to serving at community centers with at-risk children and reaching out to the surrounding communities.
God is moving in the city of Milwaukee and we pray that you will be a part of the transformation. Push yourself outside of your comfort zone and serve. You can be a part of the change.
