Haiti is still a nation that is in desperate need of help after the devastating earthquake of 2010.
After training is completed at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you will head to the Orlando International Airport for your flight to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti (via Miami). Upon arrival you bus 50 miles north to the village of Saint Marc, located on the Caribbean Sea.
Your project is to continue construction of a 60’ x 80’ two-story school building. After all the upheaval in this country, it will be a blessing to provide the stability of a new school for these children. Housing for the team will be in tents; bathing and laundry is done using a bucket. You will also have opportunities to share with the Haitians through drama, puppets, singing and presentations.
Haiti has been in darkness for nearly 100 years and your selfless work will help bring the Gospel light to many who live in fear and hopelessness. While in Haiti, you may have the chance to go swimming in the Caribbean Sea.
There will be time to barter for souvenirs such as hand-crafted items, paintings and t-shirts, to remind you of your summer before heading back to Florida for Debrief.
