Bienvenido a Ecuador! Spend your summer serving the Lord in the heart of South America, where you will see snow-capped volcanoes, glorious stretching valleys, cities and green plains. Your project is at the beautiful Teen Missions in Ecuador base, located 10,000’ above sea level in the AndesMountains. Following Boot Camp, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight to Quito, the capital city of Ecuador, via PanamaCity, Panama. From the airport, you bus to the Teen Missions in Ecuador Bible, Missionary & Work Training Center where you will be doing renovation projects on the base. Be sure to bring warm winter clothes as it is winter in Ecuador and can get very cold! You will spend a week backpacking on the world’s highest active volcano, Mt. Cotopaxi, evangelizing to the campers and hikers. On sightseeing day you will bus to El Mitaddel Mundo, where you can stand on the Equator, with one foot in the Northern Hemisphere and the other in the Southern. Here you can barter for souvenirs such as alpaca wool clothing and blankets, jewelry, dolls, hammocks, leather goods and paintings.
