Russia Sports | Teen Trip

Description:

Make a difference this summer in Russia, the world’s largest country! Serve alongside Russian teens at Teen Missions in Russia’s new Boot Camp, located in Siberia, near Lake Baikal, the deepest freshwater lake in the world! After completing Boot Camp in Merritt Island, you start your around-the-world journey on a flight from the Orlando International Airport, across 12 time zones spanning the Atlantic Ocean, to Irkutsk, Russia via Frankfurt, Germany.

2010 Russia Missions Trip

You bus past traditional Russian dachas, gardens and wheat fields to the Russia Boot Camp. Here you will assist the Russian staff in training national teens in work and evangelism skills. After Commissioning in Russia, a joint Russian/North American team will participate in soccer and volleyball scrimmages with local youth, sharing the Gospel during “half- time” presentations and building friendships before and after games.

You will have an opportunity to shop for souvenirs such as matryoshka dolls (nesting dolls), tea sets, scarves, lead crystal and hand- painted landscape pictures on birch bark.

After your project, you begin a two-day journey aboard the Trans-Siberian Railway to Ulan Ude, where you will transfer to the Trans-Mongolian Railway to Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia and then cross the Gobi Desert before arriving in Beijing, China. While in China, you will visit the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall.
