After 8 years of offering youth missions trips, we frequently had parents ask about how their whole family could serve at City on a Hill after seeing the transformation in the lives of their students who participated in our 6-Day Urban Missions Trip. Additionally youth desired to share their experience at City on a Hill with their church. That got us thinking, and we are now excited to be offering missions trips for the whole family! Our Family Missions trips are a great opportunity for the whole family (children 1st through 5th grade) to serve, learn and grow together. Recent studies have shown that one of the key elements to helping children and youth retain their faith throughout young adulthood is seeing their parents actively serve. Our Family Missions Trips will not only provide families with numerous opportunities to serve together, but will also deliver hands-on teaching on servanthood, evangelism, compassion and racial reconciliation. The Family Missions Trips are designed specifically for families with young children who are unable to participate in the 6-Day Urban Missions Trip. We recommend that families with children older than 6th grade participate in the 6-Day Urban Missions Trip. Trips are Wednesday night through Sunday afternoon.
