Turkey Spring Break Trip

This nation sits at the geographical point where two extremely different regions—Asia and Europe—collide. And though this location is strategic for commerce, it has also created a host of problems for Turkey, which has long dealt with poverty, ethnic and cultural tensions, and a seeming inability to share in the community of Western Europe. In the absence of hope, in the absence of answers, one has been provided: Islam. This nation is now 97% Muslim, and it is estimated that out of Turkey’s entire population, over 72 million have never heard the Gospel. In a land where Paul preached and the Ephesian church thrived, it seems the message of Jesus Christ and the hope He brings has long been buried and forgotten.

Most of these people do not have a Bible in their language and have never interacted with a missionary. As you live among the people and serve them in practical ways, you will build relationships and show the people that though they may have forgotten the name of Jesus, He has never forgotten them.
