We will partner with local area churches along with Calvary Chapel of Jinja, to create four teams: orphanage, construction, medical, and outreach. We will help relieve some of the stress of their day to day living through construction as well as lend a hand to hold, hug, love and care for these precious children. We will travel to fields, villages, schools, and prisons for outreach in drama, VBS, and sports and evangelism.
Jinja & Masaka o Jireh Children’s Center is an orphanage in the mountains, where over 150 children live and attend school. o Amani Baby Cottage is a home to as many as 70 orphaned babies at any given time. o The Village of Kayiriki and Kiyumba are rural communities where a Christian church has recently been established.
You are unique…
BWO believes that uniqueness is hard-wired into every human being. God created each of us to be uniquely ourselves. Why not let God take our unique blend of gifts, talents, skills, personality, background, and life experiences, and fully express who we have been born to be: a child of God, loving all kinds of people from all kinds of places that have all kinds of needs.
Here’s a look at a few of the different skills used on a BWO missions trip. Does a few of these sound like you? o Hold a baby o Paint a door o Sweep a floor o Share the love of Jesus o Sing a Song o Hammer a nail o Pick up trash o Kick a soccer ball o Change a diaper o Share the story of Jesus o Wipe a nose o Hold an orphan o Feed a baby o Read a book o Play a game o Paint fingernails
MORE DETAILED INFORMATION: In Jinja, we will divide our time between the Amani Baby Cottage home to approximately 70 orphans from infant to 5 years of age and Calvary Chapel of Jinja. We will show the love of Christ to this community through evangelism, construction, medical, and orphanage ministry. Calvary Chapel of Jinja has an incredible training center, school, orphanage, and prison ministry they run through their church campus. We are very privileged to partner with them in Jinja.
In the village of Masaka, we partner with local pastors in the area through the ministry avenues of evangelism, vbs, construction and medical. Near Masaka at the top of the mountain lies yet another orphanage, Jireh Children’s Center, home to some 80 plus children ranging in age from 5 to 16 years. Two years ago when we visited, there was no running water, kitchen facility, or restrooms in this home. Upon returning to the U.S. the summer of ’05 BWO was able to raise $2500 to bring running water to this orphanage. In 06' were able to raise the funds for and build a secondary school and restrooms. in 07' We helped build more living quarters, and bring medical care so even more children may be healthy and have a place to call home. Won't you be a part of the building & planting in 08? Why Not!? |
