To fulfill the mandate of OMF International for the speedy evangelization of East Asia’s millions. Works as a team with Serve Asia Coordinator, who gives leadership to the Serve Asia processes. The Serve Asia Administrator and Coordinator work as a team and will share the responsibilities with consideration to gifting and experience. Job Description: a) Know the Story - Opportunities Development • Be aware of new Serve Asia Opportunities in close cooperation with OMF fields • Provide Serve Asia Opportunities list and distribute to mobilizers via email, web access and hard copy for MF and conferences • Assist in the development of yearly Serve Asia Project proposals and ministry descriptions • Understand the Serve Asia Financial Agreements for each ministry opportunity • Maintain relevance and accessibility of Serve Asia Application package • Give input to yearly schedule dates for Serve Asia Training and Debriefing across Canada and organize with appropriate RD or RC • Be familiar with OMF Canada Candidate processes b) Tell the Story – Vision Casting • On occasion, present Serve Asia opportunities to a variety of audiences across Canada, include the broader OMF International opportunities and needs. This may include working with Regional leaders to coordinate Serve Asia workers and teams • Develop relationships with strategic schools and churches in order to generate short term teams c) Make it Their Story – Vision Development • Respond to inquiries for information about short-term opportunities with current information and opportunities for service • Respond to First Steps in coordination with the relevant RD, RC or advocate team • Invite Serve Asia inquirers to apply and make the Application Package available to them. • Resource and facilitate the interaction of RD, RC and advocates with inquirers in the vision nurturing process • Assist the Applicant in the process. This reflects a significant portion of the work of the Administrator. (guiding, nurturing, guiding, informing, updating, etc) • Ensure good communication with sending church of SAW c) Make it Their Story – Vision Development (Cont’d) • Be part of the Serve Asia Workers Committee meetings in order to ensure appropriate approval of short term workers • Issue SAW acceptance packages to accepted participants after the SAW Committee meeting • Be involved in the Serve Asia training program for SAW prior to departure for the field d) Keep the Story Alive – Vision Nurturing • Communication with SAW the recommendations of the SA Committee • Ensure fulfillment and completion of all requirements prior to departure for the field o Medical/Immunization Requirements o Travel Arrangements o Legal Agreements o Financial Commitment • Maintain adequate contact with SAW on the field • Be involved in the Serve Asia Debriefing program for SAW returning from the field • Ensure that SAW Alumni connect with RD, RC or advocate • Explore and implement a variety of ways to keep SAW Alumni connected until SA Alumni Coordinator becomes available |

Must have a bachelor's degree but we are open to good candidates with little training or experience. Preferred but not necessary to have short-term expereinces, very good administrative skills, and very good people skills. Willing to consider taking a team to Asia.
