Looking for the adventure of a lifetime with a unique, new ministry? Then grab your helmet and Bible and head to Zambia! Following specialized Boot Camp training including motorcycles, evangelism, music, puppets and drama, you bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight to Washington D.C. From Washington a flight takes you across the Atlantic Ocean, Ireland and the United Kingdom, to London, England. A connecting flight across the Mediterranean Sea, the Sahara Desert and the Equator brings you to Nairobi, Kenya. One last flight takes you toLusaka, the capital of Zambia. Your team will then travel by truck for five hours to the Copper Belt city of Ndola where the Teen Missions in Zambia Bible, Missionary & Work Training Centeris located. After a couple of days adjusting to two-cycle motorbikes and African roads, you will travel deep into the rural bush and arrive at Kansoka, where you will serve alongside the new Motorcycle Sunday School Mission (MSSM) Circuit Rider Missionaries. Your ministry is to travel to various remote locations and to assist in the teaching of Sunday schools, literacy classes and Bible quizzing. Time will be spent brainstorming for lesson illustrations, playing games with orphans and working one on one with those who wish to learn to read. You will be a blessing to the MSSM missionaries as you help bring the Word of God to life in the hearts of orphans and villagers. Housing will be in tents; bathing and laundry are done using a bucket. You will also take a trip to “the smoke that thunders”-Victoria Falls—a breathtaking waterfall on the Zambezi River that was discovered by David Livingstone in 1855. Souvenirs available for purchase include intricately-designed wood carvings, beautiful national artwork and traditional drums. Following your project, return to Kenya for Debrief. (Note: Kenya Debrief) Team members must be at least 16 years old and have a valid U.S. or Canadian driver's license. |
