See the “real” Africa and be the hands and feet of Jesus as you minister among South Africa’s poorest—children orphaned by AIDS. Following training, you bus to the Miami International Airport for a transatlantic flight to Paris, France. A second flight takes you south over theMediterranean Sea, the Sahara Desert and the entire length of Africa before landing inJohannesburg, South Africa. After a short 45-minute drive, you arrive at the Teen Missions in South Africa Bible, Missionary & Work Training Center property just outside of Pyramid. You will travel to different townships and settlements to wash children’s feet and put a clean pair of socks and shoes on them, modeling Jesus’ example of servanthood. In addition, you will provide basic first aid and share the Gospel message with them using singing, puppets and drama. Small work projects completed at each location will also bless these needy children. Though they may not have the words to express their thanks, you will know your service made a lasting impact by the expressions on their faces. Following your project time, you will have the opportunity to visit the third largest canyon in the world and the only one to have lush tropical vegetation, Blyde River Canyon. On your two-day safari at Krueger National Park, the largest game park in the world, capture photographs of the “Big Five”— giraffe, water buffalo, lions, elephants, and rhinos. Souvenirs available for purchase include beaded necklaces, hand-crocheted lace tablecloths, wooden carvings, dolls and baskets. You return to Paris where you will see the Louvre, Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame, before you bus through the French countryside and Swiss Alps to Switzerland for Debrief. (Note: Switzerland Debrief) |
