Journey across the world’s largest country to the village of Krasnaya Niva situated between theUral Mountains to the west and the vastness of Siberia to the east. With Boot Camp in the rearview mirror, your bus will head toÊMiami International Airport for a transatlantic flight toFrankfurt, Germany and then on to historicÊEkaterinburg, Russia. A four-hour bus ride past lush wheat fields and dense birch forests takes you to Krasnaya Niva, located on the outskirts ofShadrinsk, in the Kurgan Region of Siberia. After settling in, your team will begin preparations for the Siberian Boot Camp. Your own two weeks of training will prove invaluable as you instruct national teenagers on how to serve the Lord in their own land. You will teach music, puppets and construction classes, judge the Obstacle Course and become fast friends with the enthusiastic Siberian teens. Following the national Commissioning, your team will continue construction of the new Bible, Missionary & Work Training Center consisting of the main house, meeting hall and toilet/bath house (built and roofed by last year’s summer team). Housing is in tents; bathing and laundry will be done using a bucket. A day trip by train to Ekaterinburg will give you an opportunity to see the beautiful Russian countryside dotted with dachas (summer houses with gardens).Ê AfterÊvisiting the Europe/Asia Border in the foothills of the Ural Mountains, you will head back to town for souvenir shopping to buy knives, nesting matryoshka dolls and intricate birch-bark boxes. After your project, you return to Ekaterinburg to catch a flight to Frankfurt. From Frankfurt you travel south, through theSwiss Alps, into Switzerland for Debrief. (Note: Switzerland Debrief) |
