The lush jungles of Belize call you to Central America where a cross-cultural experience awaits you. Upon completion of Boot Camp you will bus to the Orlando International Airport for your flight to Miami. From Miami you fly across the Straits of Florida, Cuba and the Yucatan Peninsula before arriving in Belize City. A one-hour bus ride takes you to the Teen Missions in Belize property at Honey Camp Lagoon, located east of Orange Walk Town. Here you will be involved in building a kitchen and dining room deck at the end of the pier that reaches into the lagoon. An added blessing will be your part in helping train the Belizean youth as you assist in teaching classes at the national Boot Camp. On weekends you will be presenting the Gospel message through puppets, music, drama and personal testimonies. Housing will be in dorms; bathing and laundry is done using your bucket. Shopping trips provide the opportunity to purchase hammocks, wood carvings, colorful wraps, necklaces and other souvenirs of your summer. An exciting all-day boat ride upriver takes you to the Mayan ruins of Lamanai. You return to Florida for Debrief. |
