YWAM Destination Paradise |
| Title: |
Leadership Discipleship Training School (DTS) Mexico |
| Description: |
The YWAM Destination Paradise DTS is a nine month, three phase program designed to train and equip emerging leaders.
The first three months, Lecture Phase, are spent aboard the sailing catamarans, each week addressing a different principle or topic taught by recognized leaders, worldwide experts in that week's particular subject matter.
The next two months, Outreach, are spent ashore as a team putting the principles learned during the first phase to work. Outreach can really be tough with primitive living conditions, hard work, long days and challenging situations. It is also very exciting to see God work through the team and individuals. Outreach focuses on bringing God's message of hope to people in word and deed.
During final four months, the Internship Phase, students are specifically placed in a particular missions organization or Christian ministry somewhere in the world. Internship placement is made with student input and provides the student a fantastic opportunity to put into practice the principles absorbed during the lecture phase. The YWAM Destination Paradise DTS experience will: Challenge participants to worship, listen and obey God, serve through evangelism, intercession, acts of compassion and mercy and other expressions of God's heart for the world. Inspire and cultivate growth in each individual's relationship with God resulting in Christ-like character. This growth will be based on a solid Biblical foundation, the work of the Holy Spirit and the personal application of Biblical Truth, concerning God's character, the cross and empowering grace. Sharpen student's ability to relate to, learn from and work with people, including those of different cultures, personalities and perspectives. Equip people to serve and lead in the Body of Christ, strengthening a commitment to reach the lost, including the unreached, to care for the poor and to influence all areas of society. |
