St. Vincent - Eastern Caribbean - Mission Trip

The Biabou Evangelical Church is situated on the windward side of the island of St. Vincent in the British West Indies. It was founded by Walford and Jen Thompson back in 1956. The Church has had a tremendous impact not only on the community but on the nation as a whole.

At present, the Church operates a daycare center which ministers to the needs of the children in the community and has an active youth program including an outreach to a government secondary school two miles away.

Over the years, this Church has produced some outstanding national leaders including the Accountant General, Principal of the Community College, the District Nurse, the Managing Director of GESCO (Government Engineering Company), several Principals of schools and a number of Christian leaders. 

In order to expand their witness, the church is erecting a new Church building with the help of Ministries In Action (MIA). The foundation and the walls have been constructed with the help of teams which MIA has sent in to participate with this growing and dynamic congregation.

Ministries In Action has committed to raising funds and sending short term mission teams to the project to complete this phase of the project.
