Lifting the Veil - June 2008

Years of war, oppression and infighting among rival warlords have taken a toll on Central Asia, and yet the adversity has strengthened the resolve of the people to press on. Improbable as it may seem, the people of Central Asia are some of the warmest, friendliest people you will ever meet. As you can imagine, the needs in this country are enormous. These two factors alone make it easy to want to help.

Come join a team from North America as we partner with churches, Christian organizations, and individuals in reaching out to the people of Central Asia. We’ll reach out to people while teaching them English and computer skills, among other things. You don't have to be a teacher by trade; if you speak proficient English and are willing to give two weeks of your year to make a lasting contribution, we want you! Because of the sensitive nature of work in this country, prior participation with us on a short-term mission trip or other qualifying trip is preferred.
