Let the mystery and legend of the "Emerald Isle" give you the experience of a lifetime as you serve the Lord in Ireland this summer. After Boot Camp training you bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight up the East Coast, over New England, the Maritime Provinces of Canada and the North Atlantic Ocean before arriving in Dublin, the capital of Ireland. From the airport you bus three hours through the picturesque Irish countryside filled with patchwork stone-walled fields, towns and villages on your way to Sligo, on the island’s west coast. Your home for the summer is the West of Ireland Centre, where your project is to paint, landscape and clear land for future cabins. You will use your evangelism training in music, puppets, drama and testimonies as you share the Gospel in churches and surrounding areas. You will have the opportunity to develop friendships with the Irish youth as they attend the camps and learn how much you are alike. Housing will be in tents; hot showers are available. Laundry will be done in a bucket. Souvenirs such as Irish linen, Waterford crystal, Aran sweaters and famous shillelaghs will be just some of the souvenirs available to remind you of your Irish summer. After your project, you return to Florida for Debrief. |
