Covered Wagon Camp |
| Description: |
Following training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you will move into air-conditioned A-frame dorms. Your project is to break ground on the new Cowboy Covered Wagon Campsite at the Teen Missions Conference Center. This Covered Wagon Camp will be available for retreat groups to use for a time of rest, relaxation and study of God’s Word. The team will be involved in clearing the campsite and building and assembling the eight covered wagons. You will have the opportunity to share the Gospel at local churches, nursing homes and daycares using your music, puppets and drama skills learned during Boot Camp. Showers are available and laundry may be done at the Teen Missions Conference Center laundromat. There will be time to swim in the pool; a tour of the Kennedy Space Center, where you will see an IMAX movie, is also planned. Saturdays will be spent enjoying picnics and swimming at Cocoa Beach. Another highlight will be visiting the world-famous Ron Jon Surf Shop. After your project time, you move into the lodges at the Teen Missions Conference Center for FloridaDebrief.
