Be a part of the first Preteen team to South Africa, a nation known as the world within a country! This beautiful nation has everything from dusty deserts to lush green valleys. After completing your training at the Lord’s Boot Camp you bus to the Miami International Airportfor a flight to Paris, France. From Paris a connecting flight across theMediterranean Sea, Sahara Desert, the Equator and the whole length of Africa takes you to Johannesburg, South Africa. After a 45-minute drive you arrive at the Teen Missions in South Africa Bible, Missionary & Work (BMW) Training Center. Your project is to paint buildings and to landscape the grounds of the BMW property. There is freedom to share the Gospel in South Africa and you will have many opportunities to assist the BMW students in their weekend children’s ministry. Housing for the team will be in dorms and showers are available. A dining room and swimming pool are also available for the team’s use. Laundry will be done using your bucket. It will be winter in the Southern Hemisphere and the temperatures will be cold at night and in the early morning, so make sure to bring a jacket. A two-day safari at the world-renowned Krueger National Park, the largest in the world, will give you the opportunity to see the “BIG FIVE”—lions, elephants, giraffes, water buffalo and rhinos. You can buy many souvenirs to remember your journey to Africa including beaded necklaces, lace tablecloths, wooden animal carvings, dolls and baskets.
