A two-hour bus ride north takes you to Teen Missions International Australia located inTewantin on Australia’s Sunshine Coast. Housing will be in A-frame dorms; hot showers are available once the wood-burning water heater has been fired up! The Teen Missions property is home to many kangaroos that provide photo opportunities as they hop all around the property. You may even see some good boxing matches between them! Koalas and goannas can also be seen, along with colorful parrots, cockatoos and other Aussie birdlife. Projects for the team include building fences, pouring concrete and painting. You will use your training in music, puppets and drama as you are permitted to share the Gospel in schools as guests from America. There will be time to visit the legendary Crocodile Hunter’s Australia Zoo. You will enjoy shopping for all things Aussie at the Big Pineapple, Opals Down Under and the Skin Thing where you can find souvenirs such as boomerangs, sheepskins, Akubra hats, opals and “Snowy River” coats.
