This large unreached nation, once a bastion of Christianity, has since become a propagator of Islam. Today, Turkey is a safe, secular nation, providing opportunities for the gospel to be proclaimed. Asia Minor is a transitional land between Western and Middle Eastern cultures. Although caught in the middle, some of these same women have great spiritual influence in their homes and communities, yet tend to be overlooked by evangelistic outreaches targeting the men of the culture. Their ears are open. They seek spiritual answers. As a woman, you have a special platform to reach out to the women of Turkey. Muslim women often refuse contact with men, believing it is not appropriate in public. But they are open to other women. You can make the most of this precious opportunity by traveling to Turkey as a tourist. While visiting tourist areas such as Istanbul and Ephesus, you can distribute JESUS DVDs by informally offering “gifts” to Turkish women. You may be the first to offer the gospel to those you meet.
