Nearly 40% of Swaziland's population is infected with the AIDS virus. Only 20% of all 15-year-olds will live to see their 30th birthday. Africa's leaders are crying out for answers and a strategy to turn the tide of this epidemic.
First Year Missionary (FYM) is a missionary internship for individuals, age 18-24. The internship lasts from 4-months to 1-year and is designed to expose and train you to minister the Gospel of Christ. This program is not an academic study program. You will be immersed in both the location and missionary lifestyle. The FYM program has both a both a ministry and discipleship component. Through the FYM ministry you will be challenged to understand and personally surrender to the lordship of Jesus Christ. You will minister the Gospel alongside local missionaries, pastors, and ministries in a relational ministry and evangelism area of your choice.
Each participant will experience intense discipleship, both one-on-one and in a group setting. You |
