Mission Statement:
Our goal is to infuse indigenous people with the power and tools necessary to attain a healthier way of life for the whole person.
Doctrinal Statement:
1. The Bible
•The Bible is our guide in doctrine and conduct. The Bible is trustworthy and is to be believed by faith and acted upon by obedience. [2nd Timothy 3:16; 1st Thessalonians 2:13; 2nd Peter 1:21]
2. God
•There is only one God, consisting of three distinct Persons, being indivisibly one. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. [Deuteronomy 6:4]
3. The Deity of the Lord Jesus
•The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who is indeed God.
•Demonstrated through His:
Virgin birth [Matthew 1:23], Sinless life [Hebrews 7:26], Miracles [Acts 2:22]
Bodily resurrection from the dead [Matthew 28:6;1 Corinthians 15:3-6] and Exaltation to the right hand of God [Acts 1:9, 11; 2:33; Philippians 2:9]
4. The Fall of Humanity
•Man was created good and upright; for God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God [Genesis 1:26, 27; 2:17; 3:6; Romans 5:12-19]
5. Salvation and the Redemption of Humanity
•Humanity is not saved by self-effort or good works, rather through Jesus Christ. God offers His eternal plan of redemption for all humanity. [Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:9-10]
6. Eternal Life and the New Birth
•That there is only one way to God and eternal life and that way is through Jesus Christ and the repentance of our sin. .” [John 5:11, Acts 4:12, 1st Timothy 2:5]
7. Baptism in the Holy Ghost
•The experience of being filled with the Holy Spirit is accompanied with evidence of irresistible spiritual power, bold witness, speaking in a spiritual language, having visions and dreams – for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission. This experience is available to every believer. [Acts 2:1-21]
8. Water Baptism
•Water baptism by full emersion publicly demonstrates a believer’s commitment of turning away from sin and following in Christ’s footsteps. [Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12]
9. Holy Communion
•Holy Communion is the icon for the church to identify with the death, burial and resurrected life of Jesus Christ. It is at this celebration that every believer can receive a new and a fresh cleansing of the forgiveness from sin, and healing for the body mind soul and spirit [1st John 1:9-10]
10. Divine Healing and Miracles
•Healings and divine miracles continue today just as Jesus did when He was on earth. [“…greater works than these shall you do: because I go unto my Father.” John 14:12]
•And these signs shall follow [Mark 16:17-18, Acts 4:30]
11. Sanctification (Holiness)
•Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God [Romans 12:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 13:12]. The Scriptures teach a life of "holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord."
12. Hell and Eternal Damnation
•That there will be a resurrection of both the just and the unjust according to John 5:29
•Those who die without receiving Jesus Christ will be resurrected to eternal damnation. That means eternal separation from God. [Revelation 19:20]
13. The Resurrection of the Just
•That Jesus Christ could return for His Church and the Christian at any time. [1st Thessalonians 4:16-17]
14. The Church
•The Church is comprised of all those who have invited Christ to be Lord of their lives and who have purposed to follow and serve Him. The Head of the Church is Christ [Ephesians 1:22].
15. The Church and Its Mission
•The Church is an agency of God for evangelizing the world [Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19,20]
